- THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SPONSORS - Luke & I completed the London to Paris Cycle in July 2011 - a magnificent experience...details in this blog! Father of four and 'born again' cyclist! For seven years I cycled over Hammersmith bridge twice a day to School. Then at Med School we'd cycle from Paddington to Kew, get out on the Thames in an VIII rowing boat, run around the bridges (Chiswick & Barnes)then cycle back to Paddington! With a young family (and no bike!) I couldnt cycle until about 15y ago when I got myself a hybrid bike, setting aout for adventurous .......6-7 mile cycles!! In 2005 I did a 100 mile 3 day cycle from Kettering, up and around Leicester & back via Lutterworth, with my eldest son Sam to help raise funds for his ascent of Kilomanjaro trip After the death of my father later that year Sam & I were inspired to cycle from London to Paris in June 2007. A fantastic emotional trip. In 2008 I decided to go for the big one...Lands End to John O'Groats.
